What to Expect in Worship...

Have you been thinking about trying Trietsch, but not feeling ready? We get that it can be scary to go to a new place for the first time. If you'd like to get a feel for what our worship services are like before you come, you can watch live online every Sunday at 9:30 am during our contemporary service or at 11 am during the traditional service. On top of live worship, you can see past worship services, sign in and ask questions, explore podcasts and stories, and more.

After being welcomed at the Main Entrance, continue walking down the long hallway straight ahead. It will open up to the Connection Center. In the Connection Center, you can grab free donuts and coffee, take a seat on a couch or at a table, or just roam around and visit. We love building relationships and visiting with people before and after worship. The doors to the Sanctuary are always open, so if you'd rather go inside and find a seat, you're welcome to bring your coffee and donuts with you and just relax.

Our 8 am worship service is traditional and offers Communion every week, and our 11 am worship is also traditional without Communion. The 9:30 am worship service is contemporary. During worship, we don't do altar calls or single out new visitors. You can expect worship music that sets the tone and brings you close to God, times of prayer, a message from one of our pastors, inspirational stories from our members, and an offering.

  • TMUMC App - During worship we have Sermon Notes available to you through the TMUMC App, available on iPhone and Android. In the app there are extra scriptures and resources that are unavailable in the printed bulletin. On top of Sermon Notes, you can share prayer requests, read stories, explore upcoming events, make an offering, and more. Scroll to the bottom of this page to dowload the TMUMC App.
  • Offering - Please know that there is no pressure or expectation for you to give. First and foremost, we want you to feel the love of Jesus and take the time to get to know us as a church family. If you would like to make an offering, we do pass the offering plate around every Sunday towards the end of the worship service, but we also understand that it is becoming a cashless world. We've also provided multiple ways to give digitally. Learn all of the ways to give at TMUMC.ORG/give

We hope that your experience leaves you feeling fully loved and inspired to share that love. It's important to us that we can thank you for coming to Trietsch. Please stop by the "New Here" desk after worship. We have a gift for you that will help you in your spiritual journey, and would love to answer any questions you might have about us. Even if you decide that Trietsch is not the home for you, we hope you'll still accept our gift and we pray that you find a church home that leads you and your family into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

what to expect

We want you to feel welcomed the second you drive onto our parking lot. We have front row parking set aside for first-time guests, and we want you to use it. Don't be shy. We have parking lot attendants who direct traffic. Just let them know you're new here and they will direct you to the front row near the Main Entrance.

We also have handicapped parking as well as special parking for Seniors so that you don't have to walk as far. Parking is available in the front and back of the church, and at the Family Life Center (FLC).

For Your Kids

Walk into the Main Entrance and stop by the Faith Voyage desk. We will introduce you to Julie Hawkins, our Director of Children & Family Ministries, and help you get checked in and walk your kids to the right classroom based on their ages. Our teachers will be so excited to meet you and your kids! Our Sunday morning model is called The Anchor, and it's a combination of children's worship and small groups. Your kids will love the singing and dancing as they learn a new Bible story each week.

8 Weeks - 2 yrs old: The Trietsch nursery offers free childcare on Sunday mornings in our Infant Nursery for ages 8 weeks to 21 months and also in our Main Nursery for 21 months up to age 2. All ages have Childcare Staff and volunteers in each classroom. Both nurseries are located on the main level (2nd floor) of the main building near the Sanctuary.

2 yrs old - 5th Grade: Children's Sunday School (ages 2 years old through 5th grade) is located in Faith Voyage by the Main Entrance. Stop by the Faith Voyage front desk to find the right class for your kid. We offer various children's activities such as music, sports, missions, camps and classes. Visit the Children's Ministry page to learn more.

6th Grade - 12th Grade: Youth (6th - 12th grade) worship together in the 9:30 am contemporary service in the Sanctuary and then head to the Family Life Center (FLC) at 11 am for Sunday school. We also offer The Ridge at 5 pm on Sundays, a Sunday night youth gathering that includes dinner, worship, and small groups based on age until 7:30 pm.
