The purpose of Sports Ministry is to introduce children to Jesus Christ by creating opportunities to serve through sports. We want to provide a positive environment in which we can use sports as a tool to minister God's word to both adults and children.

Children age Pre-k through 8th grade can get involved in the Upward leagues and sports camps throughout the year, as well as summer sports camps. We offer Upward soccer and basketball. Sports camps vary based on availability and level of interest. All ages and abilities are welcome, but some activities have a minimum age requirement.

To get connected email Dayne Flock, Director of Sports Ministry, or call 972-539-8547 ext. 207.

"Don’t you know that all the runners in the stadium run, but only one gets the prize? So run to win. Everyone who competes practices self-discipline in everything. The runners do this to get a crown of leaves that shrivel up and die, but we do it to receive a crown that never dies." 1 Corinthians 9:24-25

Purpose

Established in 1995, Upward Sports is the world’s largest Christian youth sports provider. Upward Sports is  a uniquely designed total sports experience that adapts and expands as players grow in their personal athletic journeys. Upward Sports  develops total athletes mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially – producing players who excel both on and off the field.   Today, approximately half a million players participate in camps, clinics, and leagues through Upward Sports.

At Trietsch, Pre-K through 8th grade (ages vary by sport) play in Upward leagues.

Safety Information

Background Checks

There is nothing more important to us than protecting your sweet kids and creating a safe space for spiritual growth. We require that all adults involved in Children or Youth Ministries, including staff, childcare workers, and volunteers, submit themselves for a background check as a safety precaution.

MinistrySafe

MinistrySafe is a safety training program that all volunteers (including teenagers), staff, and childcare workers are required to complete and renew every 2 years. MinistrySafe was created to help ministries meet legal standards of care and reduce the risk of sexual abuse using tools and technology tailored to fit the needs of churches, camps and ministry programs.
