We care deeply about the spiritual development of your kids, and we want to help them experience the love of God through music, prayer, stories, play, and art. Our Sunday morning programs are all about faith exploration in a fun environment. Stop by the children's wing (Faith Voyage) this Sunday to see what it's all about! If you have questions, please contact Director of Children and Family Ministries, Julie Hawkins, at juliehawk@tmumc.org.

Kids Helping Kids

Our kids in The Anchor and Mission Kids are doing their part during Lent to support the Mozambique Missions effort. Our virtue for Lent is Love and our kids will be making cardboard banks to collect coins during Lent that they will donate to Mozambique Missions.

Would you like to help? GIVE NOW online and choose "Lenten-Mozambique." You can also designate funds on your giving on Sunday mornings.

First-Time Guests

If this is a first-time visit, we would be happy to escort you to the right classroom and introduce you to the teacher. We have a registration form available for you at the front desk by the Main Entrance. Our Sunday morning programs are for 2-year-olds thru 5th grade.

If your child is under the age of 2, you can drop them off in the nursery by the Sanctuary. Click the button below to learn more about childcare.

Drop-Off Procedure

We offer electronic check-in at the Faith Voyage front desk. This is where your child will get a name tag and classroom assignment. After electronically checking in, you are welcome to walk your child to their classroom.

Kids in 1st - 5th grades are checked in at the Faith Voyage front desk and then dropped off in room 215 for a high-energy, kid-friendly, 30-minute worship experience. Following The Anchor, kids will move to small group study based on their ages. During this time, kids will further explore the virtue and Bible lesson of the month.

Kids 2 years old - Kindergarten are checked into their classrooms where they will have a Bible story, craft and play time.

Pre-K & Kindergarten

Kids 2 years old - Kindergarten are checked into their classrooms where they will have a Bible story, craft and play time. At 9:30 am, we also have music with singing, instruments and dancing taught by a music teacher each week (no fee or registration for music). Stop by the Faith Voyage front desk to check-in and find the right classroom for your kids.

Preschool music time is only offered during the 9:30 am Sunday School hour.

The Anchor

Sundays @ 9:30 am

This Sunday morning program is for 1st through 5th graders and is located in Faith Voyage by the main entrance of the main building. Stop by the Faith Voyage front desk, and we would be happy to help you find the right classroom for your kiddos. This is not the typical children's Sunday school that you grew up with! The Anchor is kids' worship with music, scripture reading, small groups, videos, and dancing.

  • Located in Faith Voyage by the main entrance of the main building
  • Lessons are taught from Orange Curriculum and all worship videos are available at Studio252. We encourage you to watch their videos at home with your kids.
  • Each week kids can watch the lesson video, play games and work on the Bible verse of the week.

The Anchor is at 9:30 am, followed by Mission Kids at 11 am. Scroll down to learn more about Mission Kids.

Mission Kids | Sundays @ 11 am

At 11 am, kids in 1st - 5th grades are checked in at the Faith Voyage front desk and then dropped off in room 215. Each week we’ll study the virtue of the month and learn about the Bible story.  Then we will look at ways we can live out God’s love in our home, in our church and in our community.  We may pack snacks for the homeless, do a service project for a nursing home, or learn about other ways to serve in our community.
Mission Kids lives into our core value of servant ministry, and our kids definitely have servant hearts. Give your kid a full spiritual experience on Sunday morning by dropping them off at The Anchor for children's worship and then taking them to Mission Kids to learn how to be God's hands and feet in the world.

Safety Information

Background Checks

There is nothing more important to us than protecting your sweet kids and creating a safe space for spiritual growth. We require that all adults involved in Children or Youth Ministries, including staff, childcare workers, and volunteers, submit themselves for a background check as a safety precaution.

MinistrySafe

MinistrySafe is a safety training program that all volunteers (including teenagers), staff, and childcare workers are required to complete and renew every 2 years. MinistrySafe was created to help ministries meet legal standards of care and reduce the risk of sexual abuse using tools and technology tailored to fit the needs of churches, camps and ministry programs.

Volunteer

We are always looking for servants to help our children grow. It is so important for our kids to know that they are radically loved by the church. Don't worry about your abilities or experience. Join our team of servants to help provide a fun, safe and spiritual environment for our kids to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. Fill out the form to tell us where you'd like to serve.
