As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, I can't help but get emotional. I have no problem raising money for the cure, or participating in a 5k or 3 day walk, or counseling others with cancer. But when it comes to sharing my own story, I just get too emotional and start crying. It just hurts too much. But I decided to tell it since it makes me who I am, a survivor.

There's nothing like an awkward moment in a public setting, right? That moment when everyone in the room feels uncomfortable about what's happening or just happened. That moment when something said or done just causes a clumsy silence or uneasy feeling. Or even that person in the room that everyone knows should not be there.
We sometimes refer to those situations as, The Elephant in the Room ...
