May 18 @ 9:30am

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. To celebrate and support Mental Health Awareness Month, we are hosting a NAMIwalk to raise money for the North Texas chapter of NAMI. We invite you to join our team and start fundraising! You can choose to walk with our staff on May 18 at 9:30am, or participate on your own by walking through your neighborhood or local park on a day/time that works for you.

If you're walking with us in person, we will meet in the Trietsch parking lot at 9:15am and start walking at 9:30am. We will walk the block around the church from Dixon to Morriss and through the Waterford neighborhood so there is no street crossings. Feel free to bring your kids or your pets to walk with you. We also encourage you to wear your Trietsch shirt if you have one.

If you're unable to join the walking team for any reason, consider making a donation to support the team and raise money for NAMI! Your gifts will benefit the North Texas chapter of NAMI, which provides:

  • Support Groups
  • Educational Classes
  • Mental health first aid and emergency guides
  • Mental health resources for you

PS: If you're looking for a good day to do the NAMIwalk on your own, Saturday, May 22 is United Day of Hope!
