Next Steps Membership

If you’re interested in membership at Trietsch, take the Next Steps Membership class to fully understand what you can expect from the church as a member and what the church expects from you. This three-week class will cover topics of why it is important to become a member of a local church and what that looks like at Trietsch.

Childcare is available for kids 8 weeks-2 years old. Reservations are required 48 hours in advance to childcare@tmumc.org. Children 3 and older are invited to join the Children's Sunday Morning Kids program in Faith Voyage.

Why Join a Church?

Do you have to become a member of a church to grow spiritually? Of course not! We will love you well, whether you decide to join our congregation or not.

So why join a church? We’re better together; it’s as simple as that!

The Bible doesn’t specifically state anywhere that you have to join a local church, but it speaks over and over again about being in community and the benefits of uplifting each other in faith.

In the Methodist tradition, when you join a church you are vowing to continue your faith journey in this community with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service, and your witness. Maybe that sounds like a lot when you hear it all at once, but the joy of membership is that you are not in this alone. All other members of Trietsch have made the same commitment, and we are here to love, support, and encourage you in your journey.

God wants you to feel, not only loved, but deeply known. We are all looking for connection and community, and the church is a beautiful place to begin.
