  • High School Diploma
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
  • Recreation experience as a coach or participant, preferred

  • Serves as Sports Ministry customer service representative and is available to answer questions about sports programs, Trietsch and the Family Life Center. 
  • Maintains attendance, registrations, and processes payments for all sports programs and fitness programs.
  • Creates and distributes communications to volunteers and program participants.
  • Assists with training and scheduling for various sports programs.
  • Maintains, organizes and inventories equipment for each shift.
  • Monitors Trietsch calendar and sports web page for accurate and up to date information.
  • Monitors and replenishes first aid kits.
  • Contacts emergency resources when necessary.
  • Ability to step in as a Sports Coach/Ref when needed and assist in the running of leagues.

Events at Family Life Center:

  • Assists with community events and meetings at the Trietsch Family Life Center and acts as a liaison between facilities staff, audio/visual teams and other ministry and support staff to ensure proper service of each event.
  • Monitors calendar of reservations in ServiceU.
  • Ensures that supplies are clean, put away and that the building is locked following an event.
  • Assists with room set-up as needed
  • Conducts tours of the facility, as needed.
  • Other support and coordination of building activities, as needed.


Frequent:  Sitting, Standing, Lifting up to 50 pounds, Walking and Fine Manipulation

TEC Preschool Music Teacher


  • Minimum education – Documentation of a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education/Child Development from an accredited college; Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with experience in teaching preschool children; Bachelor’s degree with experience in an acceptable preschool setting.
  • Must be able to sing in tune, keep a steady beat, and understand the fundamentals of music in regard to how it applies to young children
  • Must understand the process of child development
  • Personal and professional references required
  • Must complete necessary forms of employment
  • Must clear a criminal history check, FBI fingerprint, and drug test
  • Must have current certification in First Aid, rescue breathing, and choking from accredited organization
  • Must complete Ministry Safe Training (or Child Abuse and neglect with approval of Director)
  • Must meet basic health requirement of local and regulatory agency. A negative TB tine test must be on file (if applicable by Denton County Health Department)
  • Must complete 24 hours of “Pre-service” training before working in the classroom with the children
  • Must complete 24 hours of professional development classes per year from date of hire as outlined in the Staff Handbook.
  • Good oral communication spoken English can be easily understood
  • Must be able to relate positively to adults and children and work effectively with another adult in a classroom setting.
  • Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position as outlined in Staff Handbook: including, but not limited to: sitting, running, walking, bending, standing, lifting, and cutting.


General responsibilities of Teacher:

  • Abide by the policies as set forth in the Staff Handbook, Parent Handbook, Employment Agreement, the TEC Charter and By-Laws, and the TDFPS Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
  • Be supportive of the program and policies of the center.
  • Create and manage impactful music performance programs
  • Maintain prompt hours that pertain his/her scheduled workdays:
  • Music class will be held 2 days a week to accommodate MWF and T/TH classes. Work times on campus will vary depending on the school year and enrollment number.
  • The time prior to the children’s arrival shall be utilized to prepare the learning environment. The time after all of the children are dismissed shall be utilized for classroom housekeeping/return of supplies.
  • Be conscientious of attendance: notifying Director/Assistant Director according to guidelines in Staff Handbook when a substitute teacher is needed.
  • Attend all staff meetings.
  • Maintain a neat, clean appearance and adhere to dress code.
  • Collaborate with TEC office, school staff, and parents to create a positive, energetic loving environment
  • Shall maintain high standards of professional ethics regarding children, parents, and staff.
  • Supervise the teacher’s assistant assigned to the class.
  • Counsel with the Director to discuss concerns related to the children, parents, and/or staff.

Responsibilities of Teacher pertaining to classroom:

  • Continue to gain knowledge in the learning the process of child development/music and relate that understanding to teaching.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that is free of hazards (including being able to see, hear, speak, and interact/ play with the children). The environment shall be interesting, engaging, aesthetically pleasing for children.
  • Adhere to all safety, health, sanitation, and emergency guidelines.
  • Prepare and implement dynamic and innovative daily music plans. Turn in monthly plan to the Director in a timely manner.
  • Communicate to the assistant for each class daily plans of activities


Responsibilities of Aide pertaining to children:

  • Supervise children to always ensure safety of each child. A child should NEVER be left alone.
  • Interact and respond to the children in a warm, supportive manner; maintaining an atmosphere where mutual respect exists; encouraging children to develop their own ideas; showing respect and support for each child’s unique nature and developmental needs.
  • Greet each child by name at arrival time each day.
  • Abide by the behavioral guidance policies outlined in the Staff Handbook.
