Servant Ministry

One of our core values at Trietsch is "Servant Ministry." We cannot be followers of Jesus without serving others!  It is necessary to faith. An element of our vision is creating settings where all are encouraged and equipped to serve others. Service is a big deal. Jesus said that even as the Son of God, he did not come to be served, but to serve.

“For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.” - Mark 10:45 (NRSV)

We believe that education plays greatly into missions, service, and compassion for others. We are always striving to create settings where you can learn more about the people you are serving. We want to combine mercy with justice to be a force of change in the name of Jesus.

Find Your Spot!

These are often part of mission activity, but what if you could practice missional living every day? Let’s learn how to live as missionaries 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No passport needed.

Let us help you find your spot to serve. If you don’t already know your spiritual gifts that God has blessed you with, that’s a great place to start!

Gifted to Serve

We are all called to serve in different ways! God gave us specific gifts to be used in service. Some questions to ask yourself about how you serve: Do you look forward to it? Are you energized by it? Are doing it joyfully? If your answer to any of these questions is “no,” we recommend you Take the Gifted to Serve Discovery and sign up for our Gifted to Serve class.

God has given you specific spiritual gifts and ministry styles to best serve the Kingdom. Get started discovering your spiritual gifts!

Our Serving Philosophy

We believe God is already at work in the community in a variety of ways. God is working in ministries, non-profits, and in the schools. We also believe God has placed unique passions and skills in each person. We aim to connect the needs of the community with the places that make you most come alive when you serve. As opposed to organizing service project after service project, our desire is to help make you aware of important issues in our community and world. Once you learn about the issues, we will connect you to the organizations and ministries most effective in addressing these problems.

The church will be your spiritual springboard. We will help equip you spiritually but our hope is that you will take ownership for the ways you choose to live into servant ministry.  Find issues that break your heart. Find issues that make your soul come alive. Then, connect with organizations making an impact. Serve using your God given gifts and talents. We invite you to open your eyes and heart to the needs of this world and discover where God is calling you to find your spot.
