Where Fitness Meets Faith

We believe BODY & SOUL is where FITNESS meets FAITH. We offer weekly opportunities to get active in the name of Christ.

We do not charge for classes, however a recommended donation of at least $3 is appreciated to offset costs for instructors and equipment. Classes are led by certified instructors. Donations keep our classes going. Please feel free to donate at tmumc.org/give (select "Sports - Fitness Class Donation from dropdown menu), the TMUMC app, or the donation box in the FLC.

Donate at least $25 and get a Body & Soul Sport-Tek shirt (more info further down the page). Donations are tax-deductible. All classes are in the Family Life Center unless otherwise noted.

Freedom Fitness

Mondays @ 8:30 am
Tuesdays @ 6:15 pm

In Freedom Fitness Class, our focus is finding joy in movement as we strengthen our bodies for our unique callings and purposes. While we will utilize many different modes of fitness, our favorite way to exercise is with drumsticks...you will have so much fun, you won’t realize how hard you are working! Bring a mat, small (3-5lb) hand weights and get ready for a fun, full-body workout! Taught by Janice Golz, a certified Revelation Wellness® Instructor.

The focus of this class is to improve physical strength while gaining flexibility and having fun with Coach Lutz. This class meets Tuesday's and Thursday's 7am or 9:15 am and is open to all ages and ability. Bring your own yoga mat and light weights.

Holy Yoga

Vinyasa Holy Yoga is a dynamic flow from posture to posture, often referred to as Flow Yoga or Power Yoga. All levels welcome as modifications and props are provided in all classes.

Senior Mobility Yoga

Thursdays @ 11 am

This Senior Yoga class, taught by Jennifer Powell, uses movement, meditation and breathing exercises to stretch and strengthen the body, focus the mind and improve general well being with emphasis on increasing bone health. (modifications and chairs available for those with limited mobility) Meet us in the Family Life Center on Thursdays at 11am.

Tai Chi Gung

Mondays @ 10:30 am

Tai Chi Gung is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise to improve balance. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Classes are located in the Family Life Center.

Body & Soul T-Shirts

The Body & Soul Sports Ministry offers workout Sport-Tek shirts for a $25 donation. CLICK HERE to download the order form. Fill it out and bring it, along with your donation, to Dayne Flock in the Family Life Center, or make at least a $25 donation at tmumc.org/give and choose Sports, then email the form to daynef@tmumc.org.
