6th - 8th Graders

Sundays @ 10:45 am - Noon

Confirmation is specifically created for 6th graders (and 7/8th graders who have not participated). They attend weekly classes to prepare them for the choice of whether to confirm their baptism and turn their life over to Christ.

This is a truly transformational experience in the life of your youth. They learn to understand the basics of Christianity. Confirmation is open to all 6th - 8th graders, regardless of your previous faith experience. Come and grow with us in the Family Life Center. If they choose, they can “confirm” their baptisms in a special worship service in the spring.  Meets Sunday at 10:45 am - noon in the Family Life Center (FLC).

Confirmation Retreat

April 4-5

Every year the Confirmands and volunteers head out to Bridgeport Camp to spend a weekend in nature to connect with God and each other. We play games, learn scripture, have group discussions, worship, and so much more.

Confirmation Rehearsal

April 18, 2020 @ 10 am

Join us in the Sanctuary from 10 - 11:30 am to rehearse the Confirmation Ceremony. It is important for your kids to be there so that they will know the order of worship, where to stand, and learn about the rite of passage. The Confirmation Ceremony will be on the following day during the 11 am worship service.

Confirmation Ceremony

April 19, 2020 @ 11 am

Invite your friends and family to this momentous occasion in the life of your child. This worship service will celebrate our Confirmands, who are making the choice to dedicate their lives to Christ. We will welcome them into the fold of the church with a yoking ritual to represent accountability, journey, and that they are not alone.

Safety Information

Background Checks

There is nothing more important to us than protecting your sweet kids and creating a safe space for spiritual growth. We require that all adults involved in Children or Youth Ministries, including staff, childcare workers, and volunteers, submit themselves for a background check as a safety precaution.

MinistrySafe

MinistrySafe is a safety training program that all volunteers (including teenagers), staff, and childcare workers are required to complete and renew every 2 years. MinistrySafe was created to help ministries meet legal standards of care and reduce the risk of sexual abuse using tools and technology tailored to fit the needs of churches, camps and ministry programs.

Volunteer

We are always looking for servants to help our youth grow. It is so important for our pre-teens and teens to know that they are radically loved by the church. Don't worry about your abilities or experience. Join our team of servants to help provide a fun, safe and spiritual environment for our students to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. Fill out the form to tell us where you'd like to serve.
