Little Women

December 3 - 5
Presented by Stage Right Ministry

Little Women is a musical with a book by Allan Knee, lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and music by Jason Howland

Dec 3 @ 6:30pm (Dinner & Show)
Dec 4 @ 7pm
Dec 5 @ 1pm & 7pm

Come enjoy the Stage Right Production of Little Women Dec 3-5. Based on Louisa May Alcott's 1868–69 semi-autobiographical two-volume novel, it focuses on the four March sisters— traditional Meg, wild, aspiring writer Jo, timid Beth and romantic Amy,— and their beloved Marmee, at home in Concord, Massachusetts, while their father is away serving as a Union Army chaplain during the Civil War. Intercut with the vignettes in which their lives unfold are several recreations of the melodramatic short stories Jo writes in her attic studio. Performances are Dec 3 at 6:30pm, Dec 4 at 7pm and Dec 5 at 1pm & 7pm.

Purchase tickets in advance or at door (Tickets are limited for Dec 3 Dinner & Show)

Blue Christmas

December 19 @ 4pm

Many of us are acquainted with the paradox of the Advent and Christmas seasons – a time when we feel we are supposed to celebrate hope, love, joy and peace, and yet it can be a time that can also be full of depression, sadness and grief. Christmas can be a painful time for some. It may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died; it may be a time that has always been difficult. The constant refrains we see about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and friends, reminds many people of what they have lost. The death of a loved one can make us feel alone in the midst of the celebrating and joy. We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness; we need to know that we are not alone. Our Blue Christmas worship service provides a safe place to acknowledge our struggles and provide comfort and healing.

Refuge for Women

Every year we contribute a portion of Christmas Eve offerings to a local ministry, and this year we are supporting Refuge for Women of North Texas. Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers up to twelve months of safe housing, at no charge to the resident, with around the clock care as residents progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming.

Christa's Story

Christa is a survivor of human trafficking, and she's originally from North Texas. She shares how Refuge for Women helped her get back on her feet. 25% of our Christmas Eve offering this year will benefit Refuge for Women of North Texas. You can help women like Christa by making an extra offering on Christmas Eve. We appreciate all of your donations to help support this local ministry.
