Trietsch is a community of believers in Jesus Christ. We worship together, study the Bible together, teach and learn from one another, work on mission and outreach projects, and experience the transforming power of God’s love along the way.
In 1982, our first pastor, Bill Jacobs, along with a handful of dedicated men and women, began talking about starting a new United Methodist Church in Flower Mound. TMUMC was established by the Board of Church Development of the United Methodist Church, North Texas Annual Conference in March 1983. Our first worship service was on March 6 and held 117 people. Forty-one people became members of the church that day.
We are called “Trietsch Memorial” United Methodist church because in 1983 Erwin and Velma Trietsch donated their 10 acre chicken farm to build a church. In 2018 we celebrated our 35th anniversary as a church in the Flower Mound community.
Since our founding, we’ve tried to make the love of Jesus known to the community through acts of service, spiritual growth, and a worshipful environment.
