The Art of Neighboring
What if, when Jesus said, “Love your neighbor,” He meant we should include our actual neighbors—those who live to the left, right, back, and front? It sounds simple, but sometimes our next door neighbors are the last people we share God's love with.
We are so ‘public’ throughout the day, it’s nice to have space in our homes that isn’t invaded or interrupted, right? I know all the excuses: Our lives are packed. We have enough friends. Have you seen my to-do list? I can’t take on the neighbors, too! So maybe you have the tendency to go straight from the garage into the house, only spend time in the isolated and private back yard, or shy away from block parties and events.
If the most important things we are supposed to do as followers of Jesus is love God and love neighbor, why do we seem to struggle with it so much?
In our worship series "The Art of Neighboring," we will seek to discover why Jesus felt it was so important to love our neighbor and explore ways that we can do that well.

A neighborhood block party is the opportunity for neighbors to get together, meet each other, have fun, and maybe work together on a common activity. Check out the below guide to hosting your own block party or you can download the guide to print. We've also provided "The Art of Neighboring" Bingo Card. Download the card below and use it as a fun way to get to know your neighbors!

Sunday Small Groups
Sunday school classes and small groups connect us relationally to share life and faith together as we grow in our relationships with Jesus Christ and each other. Sunday small groups are offered at 8, 9:30 or 11 am every week.
Our small groups are for all adults regardless of age, background or where you are in your Christian journey. Groups learn together, fellowship together and serve together. Most small groups are composed of 15-20 participants although there are a few Sunday morning small groups that are much larger.
Stop by the info desk on Sunday mornings outside of the Sanctuary. We'd be happy to help you connect with a small group that fits your needs.
