The Trietsch Women's Retreat, "Friends on the Journey", is just around the corner, so grab your friends, and come be empowered, inspired, and blessed! This year's retreat will feature Leslie Stewart as she speaks on the topic "Spiritual Companioning: Friends on the Journey - The Importance of Spiritual Friendships in Spiritual Formation."
Leslie trained fighter pilots as an Aerospace Physiologist and Human Factors Expert in the Air Force before hearing the call to discipleship and ministry. As a trained investigator turned Spiritual Director, Leslie guides your own investigation into what it means to be a friend to God and to one another. She explores how Spiritual friendships differ from ordinary friendships focusing on the practical steps to find, and be a good spiritual companion. Leslie's message is for all who desire greater intimacy with the Lord, and all who need the encouragement of companionship as we make our bone-weary spiritual pilgrimage called life.
The retreat will begin on Friday February 19 at 7 p.m. and will wrap up on Saturday February 20 at 4 p.m. The location is the Embassy Suites Hotel in Grapevine. The cost for the retreat is $60 for retreat only. Unfortunately, the overnight stay rooms are booked. You may be able to book a room at another hotel right by the Embassy if you like, but we would still love to have you come to the retreat only.
Click on the logo above to register for the retreat only, or stop by the table in the Connection Center on Sundays. Please do not let finances stand in the way of you participating in this event. Scholarships are available (contact Jann Harrell at jannh@tmumc.org).
