Our mission is to lead young people to a personal commitment to Christ.
In most instances, confirmation takes place during the 6th grade school year. The program includes social activities, service opportunities and small group learning environments. Registration is underway right now and classes begin in January. Participation in the class is required for confirmation in the Spring.

Upcoming Confirmation Events:
- Confirmation Game Night & Lock-In - 6th graders are invited to the Confirmation Lock-In on Nov. 18, 7 p.m. to midnight in the FLC. You need not be registered for Confirmation to attend.
- Confirmation Christmas Party - December 18, 5-5 p.m.
- Confirmation Covenant Service - Confirmation 2012 begins their year with a Covenant Service on Jan. 8, 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The service is designed to start the year with a commitment to the journey we are beginning. Confirmation classes will meet weekly until May 5.
- Celebration of Confirmation - February 19, 2-5 p.m.
- Sponsor Lunch and Mission Day - 12-5 p.m.
- Jr. High Mission Event - March 11-14 (Must register seperately)
- Parent Meeting (Retreat Q&A) - April 1, 3-5 p.m.
- Easter - April 8 - No Confirmation
- Confirmation Short Course - More information available soon
- Confirmation Retreat - April 13-15 at Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center.
- Confirmation Worship Service Rehearsal - April 29, 3-5 p.m.
- Confirmation Worship Service - May 5, 10 a.m.
- Confirmation Recognition Sunday - May 6, 9:30 & 11 a.m. - All confirmands are recognized during worship.
- Youth Confirmation Celebration - May 6, 5-7 p.m.

Confirmation Short Course
All youth in grades 8th-12th grade who have not been confirmed are invited to participate in Confirmation 2012 — The Short Course. The youth will share and learn much about the Christian faith and the unsurpassable love of Jesus Christ.
The Short Course’s meet on a few Sunday afternoons, 3-5 p.m. towards the end of the full course. The youth will then attend the Confirmation Retreat, April 13-15 at Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center. More information will be available soon.

Confirmation Begins Jan. 8
On January 8th at 3 p.m., Confirmation will begin with a Covenant Service in the Sanctuary. This service is designed to start the year with a commitment to the journey we are beginning. After the service, there will be a reception in the Connection Center. Confirmation classes will meet weekly throughout the semester ending with the Confirmation Service on May 5th.
This is an incredible time in the lives of these young people. Please be in prayer for them and their leaders.

Prayers and planning for Confirmation 2012 have been underway for months. This year approximately 100 young people will sign up to begin a very important journey in their lives…A journey that will culminate with them making a public decision to follow Christ. You will play a very big part in that decision when you decide to be a Confirmation sponsor.
As these young people are learning about the love of Jesus Christ, they will be able to see it through the love and care of their sponsors.
The time commitment is minimal, the impact immeasurable.
