Missions in Mozambique

Staff Leader: Paul McGarvey

This page is currently under construction. Please check back shortly for further information.

Trietsch participates in various ways to raise awareness and money for our missions in Mozambique. Each year the Missions Team organizes a Mozambique Silent Auction as the primary fundraiser for our mission efforts in Mozambique. This year's auction raised more than $40,000. We thank our Auction Coordinators Linda Doherty and Peggy Swann and their whole team for their commitment and hard work to make this happen.

In 2007 we raised more than $20,000. CLICK HERE to learn more about the 2007 Silent Auction.

Medical Donations

In July and August two Volunteer in Mission teams will be traveling to Africa on mission trips. There are numerous needs for Pharmacy and Medical supplies in Africa and it is often unreliable to mail packages to these locations. Each member of these teams will be taking supplies to leave and request your help to fulfill our wish list. Please drop off your supply donations by June 26 in the designated basket in front of the Information Desk outside the Sanctuary. If you would like to give a monetary donation to buy supplies, they may be dropped off in the church office. The general pharmacy items needed are:

* Ace Bandages - 3, 4, or 6 inch
* Bandaids - standard size - waterproof is preferred
* Cotton Balls - Jumbo, L, M, S
* Latex Gloves - S, M, L - General Purpose
* Lubricant - KY Jelly, Mineral Oil
* Oral Syringes
* Thermometers that have Celsius measurement (can also have Farenheit)
* Sterile 4x4 gauze and other sizes
* Surgical Adhesive Tape - About 1" - Waterproof preferred
* New packages of Tylenol, Advil and Ibuprofen

If you are in the medical field or have contacts for medical supplies and can donate any of the following medical supplies, please contact Marilyn Hurlbut or Richard Duncan:

* Blood Pressure Cuffs
* Feeding Tubes - 50cm length
* Foley Catheters - 8, 10, 12, 14, 18, 20, 22 width
