Habitat for Humanity of Denton County works in partnership with God and people, from all walks of life. Habitat houses are built by volunteers with donated funds and materials and the families put in their own "sweat equity" and help build the home. Trietsch is partnering with this awesome organization and 11 other Denton County Churches to build a Habitat House this Fall.
This program is called an “Apostles Build,” in which a dozen (there were 12 New Testament apostles of Jesus!) churches join resources to build a home. We contribute one-twelfth of the cost, and our church family is a part of the build team. Trietsch is responsible for $7,000. To raise our portion of the funds we are asking for donations from each of you.
The group started building in October and are just finishing up. Volunteers are always needed for Habitat.
Be the hands and feet of Christ, as together with several other churches, Trietsch builds a home for a family in need through a Habitat for Humanity Apostles Build. Our goal is to have the home ready for the family by Christmas, so come be a part of this exciting endeavor. If you are interested in volunteering some of your own sweat equity or donating, contact Joe Shafer at joes@tmumc.org. |

| Trietsch has participated with Habitat on a variety of projects with Habitat for Humanity Denton and Dallas. We have completed two houses over the last few years on our parking lot. The last home was completed for the Perez family and moved to Denton. The Perez family worked side by side with all the Trietsch volunteers putting "sweat equity" in their first home. We would like to thank Roger Anderson and Mike Sherwood for their countless hours of commitment to this project and their wonderful leadership. Without them this project could not have been completed. Thank you to all the families, Sunday school classes and everyone who donated and volunteered. |
