The Men's Ministry has been working hard to plan upcoming events. Mark your calendars for the following and come fellowship with other men. All men are welcome, so invite your friends and neighbors.
- July UMM Breakfast
Saturday, July 17, 8 a.m.
The United Methodist Men's Breakfast this month is Saturday, July 17 at 8 am. After breakfast and business, Mike Sherwood has a special project for kids to build a birdhouse. Kids need to be able to handle a hammer with supervision. All men and their young carpenters are invited! Bring your own hammer. For more information, contact Dan Chraska at runner@grandecom.net.
- Roughriders Family Night
July 17, 7 p.m.; Cost $19 (includes buffet)
Join us for a Family Night Out event sponsored by the Trietsch Men's Ministry. We will enjoy a RoughRiders game against the Corpus Christi Hooks on Saturday, July 17 at 7 p.m. The cost is $19 per person and includes a reserved seat in section behind home plate (covered) and an all you can eat buffet with hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, chips and soft drinks. What a great deal for hungry fans! Seats will be made available by reservation only. Reservations can be made through Sunday, May 30 via email or in the church office. Please pay at time of reservation. This event is open to the church and community. Invite your friends and neighbors and show them what a great church family you have. In the changing face of the world we live in, the time is right for all of us to be engaged in study that will provide insights and guidance on how to live out the life principles revealed in Holy Scripture. United Methodist Men is a Christian men’s organization that meets for fellowship and service.
Mission Statement: As a man at Trietsch, I will center on God, family, friends, and my brothers in Christ.
- Teach the Word of God through our actions, attitudes and words.
- Promote and provide opportunities of Christian fellowship for all men through sharing, study and activities.
- Be role models for the youth of the church and community.
- Provide support to the staff of the church.
- Provide the physical support as requested by other Trietsch organizations and Trietsch activities.
- Provide the physical support to maintain the church facilities through scheduled quarterly workdays.
- Promote and provide family centered activities.
- Acknowledge and react to the changing needs of the church.
- Champion each man to be a witness for God in his home, community and workplace.
