Marriage Enrichment

Building Strong Christ-Centered Marriages

Staff Leader: Joe Shafer

By God’s design, marriage has the potential for greater joy than any human relationship, but great marriages are not automatic. All relationships require work, and marriage is no exception. But that “work” can be fun, and we want to make your marriage an adventure that you enjoy and that brings glory to God.

Last Spring in worship John Allen referenced an article from Good Housekeeping on "How to Solve Marital Conflict." Many people requested the information. If you would like to read the article in its entirety, click on the link http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/family/marriage-sex/resolving-marital-conflict.

Why Has Trietsch Created a Marriage Enrichment Ministry?

  • To support God’s design for life long, faithful marriages. It is the church’s duty to help preserve strong marriages, offering support before and after the wedding.
  • Strong marriages are built; they do not happen magically.
  • To promote lifelong commitments for couples to grow closer and learn more about each other.
  • To encourage the fun and adventurous journey called marriage.

Trietsch aims to be a church where every married couple is growing closer all the time.

Jesus replied, “. . .in the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Matthew 19:4-6
