Spend A While on the Nile - take a journey back to ancient Egypt without leaving the church!

Trietsch finds God on a trip through Egypt this year at Vacation Bible School, as we wrap up big fun in Egypt: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace. Come join the fun at VBS, June 21-25. Kids step back in time at Egypt, exploring the life of Joseph. VBS is open to children ages 2 through 5th grade. (If you child is under 5, Trietsch’s child safety policy requires you to be on campus during VBS.) Children do not have to be a member or attend Trietsch, so PLEASE invite your friends!

Registration:

  1. Open registration ended June 6

  2. Volunteers can register their child for the Open Registration price even after June 6

  3. Registration for your children is only available in person in the church office as of Monday, June 14. The afternoon session is full.

Three Sessions:

  1. Morning (9a.m. to noon)

  2. Afternoon (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) - this session is CLOSED

  3. Evening (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.)

Prices:

  1. Volunteer Registration - $15 per child (which includes a t-shirt)

  2. Registration after June 6 - $25 per child

  3. Additional VBS shirts are $10

  4. CD of the VBS music is $7.

VBS Decoration Prep and Build Days - Help Anytime:

  1. Craft Prep Day - Monday, June 14, 9 a.m. - noon

  2. Build Day - Friday, June 18, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  3. VBS Set Up - Saturday, June 19, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 20, 12 p.m.

Volunteer:

50 adult volunteers are still needed to accommodate 1000 kids

  1. Morning session - need 28 volunteers - 14 guides, 2 Preschool floaters, 3 Elementary floaters, 2 Preschool Recreation, 6 Elementary recreation, 1 Media

  2. Afternoon session - need 13 more volunteers - 7 guides, 1 Preschool music, 1 Elementary music, 3 floaters, 1 Puppet

  3. Evening session - need 6 more volunteers - 3 guides, 1 Preschool craft, 1 Preschool Recreation, 1 Preschool Music

  4. “Night on the Nile” party on Friday, June 25, 6-8 p.m. Volunteer during party and/or take down of decorations after the party.

Donate:

If you are unable to help on-site; here are more opportunities where you CAN help.

  1. Donate craft supplies. The Top 5 supplies needed are: Brown 9 x 12 construction paper: 2000 sheets, Wooden beads : thousands, Leather cording: 1000 yards, Silver backed plastic gems: thousands, Manila paper: 12 x 18 only: 1000 sheets

  2. Gift cards to Hobby Lobby or Wal-Mart or cash donations

  3. Donate food or money to “feed the 500” VBS volunteers during VBS week. Substantial snacks needed like sandwich trays, pizzas, chicken nuggets, veggie & fruit trays, breakfast items, etc.

VBS Mission Focus

  1. CCA Back to School Jean Drive - Jeans for Teens - Bring a Pair-Wear a Pair. Bring a pair (or more) of jeans to help support the CCA Back to School program. The jeans will be given to those less fortunate so they can have new clothes for when school starts.

  2. Imagine No Malaria - the Cow and the Goat team up agains the mosquito this year to help eradicate Malaria in Africa. Kids and adults can bring their spare change and vote for the Cow or Goat. Someone is even going to have to kiss a real live camel at the celebration on Friday night depending on who wins, the Cow or Goat. Who is your favorite?
