Jesus said “Let the children come to me. God’s kingdom is made up of people like these.” (Matt 19:14 The Message)

Children's Mission Statement: The mission of Children's Ministries at Trietsch is to lay a firm foundation through education and spiritual formation that allows our children to know Christ and to make Christ known.

Trietsch strives to be a church where all children are welcomed, loved and nurtured – regardless of abilities, background or temperament. Every child is a light of God. Our goal is that all children that come through our doors will leave knowing that they are loved by God and by the adults around them.

We allow children to explore, ask questions and respond to God’s Word in a variety of different learning styles. Our programs are hands-on, active and fun!

Children also have an innate need for relationships - with God, with other children and with caring adults. We seek to be a place of nurturing and security. Each of our staff and volunteers undergo a thorough background check and security training.

We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the week for children to experience Christ, through study, fellowship, music, sports, camps and service. In addition to Sunday school, children also have the opportunity to get involved in Pioneer Club, CIA, Children's Choirs and VBS (Vacation Bible School). Pioneer Club is a Wednesday night Bible based program offered during the school year. Children's Choirs is our choir, instrumental, drama and art program that starts at age 4 and is offered during the school year. VBS is offered one week every summer. There are various mission opportunities offered throughout the year.

Making Worship a Positive Experience for Children

Worship is a family experience. Here are a few ideas

to make your experience a positive one.

Relax! God put the wiggle in children.

Don't feel you have to suppress it in God's house.

Sit toward the front where it is easier

to see and hear what's going on.

Use a gentle touch: an arm around your child's shoulder, your hand in his/hers to give

reassurance and appropriate redirection.

Quietly explain the service.

Help your child find the pages in the Hymnal. Do not become distressed if your child is unable to find the proper page.

Sing the hymns, pray, and voice the responses. Children learn liturgical behavior by copying yours.

If your child needs to leave the service,

feel free to do so - please come back!

Remember! Jesus invited children, with their wiggles and giggles, to come to Him… He invites them still.
