FINANCE/ PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR, Part-Time (24-28 hours/ week)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance and/or Accounting or Equivalent Experience
  • Proficient computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office

Finance Essential Functions:

  • Processes weekly contributions and any subsequent corrections or changes.
    • Deposits cash and scans checks to TMUMC bank
    • Scans checks and cash support in TMUMC contribution system
    • Reconciles contribution system to deposit and prepares entries for general ledger system
  • Deposits TEC cash and checks with bank and prepares entries for general ledger during the week received from TEC.
  • Ensures compliance with bank compliance requirements for destruction of scanned checks within 90 days.
  • Processes weekly accounts payable for TMUMC and TEC.
  • Enter credit card transactions for TMUMC and TEC.
  • Processes Good Samaritan and Rainbow Payment Requests.
  • Researches and processes bank deposit corrections and NSF transactions.
  • Provides support to church members and ministry leaders and responds to inquiries and needs.

Payroll Essential Functions:

  • Processes payroll for TMUMC staff including childcare and TEC.
  • Maintains and monitors hourly employees’ time clock system.
  • Calculates and reconciles childcare workers’ hours worked.
  • Processes bank pre-notifications for direct deposit.
  • Processes quarterly payroll tax filing and semi-monthly payroll tax calculation and payment submission.
  • Prepares annual W-2/1099 filings and W-4 updates as submitted.
  • Processes and maintains employee personnel files.
  • Processes new hire paperwork to ensure government compliance.
  • Assists with the new hire onboarding process.
  • Researches regulatory changes and ensure compliance with all requirements
  • Prepares annual reporting and data for workers’ compensation provider

CHILDCARE WORKER, Part-Time

General Purpose of Job

The Childcare Worker provides dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to the children of our church. The Childcare Worker is responsible for the physical and emotional supervision of children under their care while working in the church’s facilities. This position requires warmth and friendliness to both children and their parents, in addition to sound communication skills in informing parents about their children's activities and behaviors.

Essential Functions:

  • Willingness to abide by Ministry Safe Policies and be of good moral Christian character.
  • Provide age-appropriate care, including feeding, changing diapers, escorting to the bathroom, putting children down for naps, holding, or sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, lessons, play, and prayer.
  • Exhibit flexibility to provide nursery care for children during all worship services, monthly committee meetings, and other scheduled events.
Physical Demands:

Frequent:  Sitting, Standing, Walking, and Fine Manipulation

Work Environment:

Indoors and occasionally outdoor playground
