DETERMINE if Trietsch is the church that meets your needs for spiritual enrichment, fellowship and opportunities for Christian service by attending our "First Steps Membership Class" or talking with one of our church staff members.
DECIDE if it is your desire to support Trietsch with your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.
RESPOND to the invitation to church membership by attending our Connections Class or meeting with a pastor. Check out our new Pathway to Membership below.
Pathway to Membership

 Growing a church is not just about collecting more people; it’s about connecting people. Whether you’ve been visiting for weeks, attending for months, or involved for years, we would be delighted to help you feel even more connected to the Trietsch family of faith!

Membership - Option 1
Connections Class
Held 1st - 4th Sundays, Bi-Monthly
9:30 a.m. in Room 160

November, January (Date changed due to holiday), March, May, August (July skipped due to holiday) - Click on the Connections Class logo or title for complete date informaiton.
The Connections Class runs for 4 weeks in a Come, Grow, Serve format and is taught by Rev. Joe Shafer. It is held bi-monthly at 9:30 a.m. and usually starts on the first Sunday of the month, bi-monthly. (Due to holidays sometimes months skip or the class begins on a different Sunday, please check dates above to be sure).

Week one is devoted to our church history, membership and welcoming ministries.

Week two focuses on discipleship and fellowship opportunities at Trietsch.

Week three will discuss spiritual gifts and how they can be used for service in and out of the church.

Week four, is Membership Sunday. If you would like to join the church after completing the Class, participants are welcomed into membership during worship in week four at either the 9:30 or 11 a.m. service. This allows the congregation to see and welcome our new members. You are not required to join at the end of the class.
Whether you are planning to join Trietsch or are already a member, we encourage you to take this time to attend the Connections Class and find out more about the church. Ask questions and discover why membership is a vital part of the church. Meet new people and get to know some of our pastors.

Membership - Option 2
For those that would rather not attend the Connections Class before joining can take the second option in the Pathway, to meet individually with one of our pastors to discuss membership and your commitment.
If you would like to take the second option of the Pathway to Membership, to meet with a pastor, contact Peggy Zappavigna at ext. 208 or peggyz@tmumc.org.

- Our expectation is that church members actively participate and support the church with their prayers, their presence, their gifts, their service and their witness.
- All are welcome to present themselves for church membership, without bias.
- Because membership has many obligations and opportunities, all members shall be made aware of the biblical importance of becoming a church “member”.
- Members come from different church backgrounds as well as faith backgrounds. Each will be strongly encouraged to take advantage of opportunities to grow in the faith and in ministry.
- Trietsch considers worship attendance and participation over “the membership roll” as a primary measurement of the vitality of the church.
