Family Life Center FAQ
Why are we doing this project?
In recent years we have seen a steady growth in the community and at our church requiring significantly expansion in our ministries and increased staff to assist our ministry teams. More people of all ages are involved in fellowship and discipleship. The impact of this growth is sometimes obvious – crowding in classrooms, the hurried change over of the sanctuary between crowded worship services, insufficient parking, a lack of office space for staff, or limited availability of rooms. Simply stated, we need more room, and more flexible spaces to continue effective ministry to our congregation, the community around us and to the world.
How will this enable us to be more effective in ministry?
Our church's mission is “To know Christ and to make Christ known.” The primary strategy for the Family Life Center is to meet the current and future needs of our church family and the community we serve. We want to continue to reach out to people, nurture those who respond, and equip people for spiritual growth and ministry to others. Adequate, well configured space will enhance our efforts in ministry. The space can be used for our youth to meet, youth activities, indoor sports leagues, Senior fitness classes & activities, Bible studies, small group meetings, worship activities, community events, musical & theater productions, host out of state church groups and other fellowship activities.
Will the Upward fields be able to stay?
Yes. The current plan is to move the Upward fields closer to Dixon Lane (where the current Iglesia Bautista is located) and the Family Life Center will be where the current Upward fields are located now. CLICK HERE to view the site plan.
Will we have more parking when the project is complete?
Yes. CLICK HERE to view the site plan.
Have the neighbors been advised of our plans?
Yes. The adjacent homeowners have been met with on multiple occasions by members of the Building Committee.
What is the approval process?
We have prayerfully been following the process listed below. The informational meetings and final approval are yet to be done.
- On January 24, 2008 our church met and we elected a Building Committee who was then given the authority to study and make recommendations about the possibility of a Family Life Center.
- On September 11, 2008 our church met to approve the expenditures needed to hire an architecture firm, design construction documents and hire a General Contractor to price the cost of the building and establish a financial plan for the project.
Our hope is to be ready to present in September 2009 the detailed plans, financial information and approve the project. In preparation for this meeting town hall meetings will be held in August to answer any questions before the September meeting date is set.

It is our belief this facility addresses each point of our Statement of Purpose at Trietsch: Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry, and Evangelism and fulfills our mission “To know Christ and to make Christ known.”
Over the last 25 years, we have transformed countless lives by bringing people to Christ through worship, ministries, programs and wonderful people.
The Family Life Center will enhance and give us the capacity to expand ALL OUR MINISTRIES. Imagine expanding our ability to make disciples for Jesus Christ. Imagine reaching children, young adults, families, and retirees as well as our youth. A facility that could accommodate all that activity could be a fantastic tool for building strong Christians with a deep and abiding love for Christ. Imagine…
