Live out our commitment to be a praying church
August 22 - September 30

We say we are a praying church. The 40 Days of Prayer, beginning August 22 with the LISD Prayer Walk, will give you an opportunity to practice prayer, to learn more about praying and to watch God work in His wondrous and grace-filled ways.

Throughout the 40 Days of Prayer, there are activities and studies planned to choose from. Please join in this time of renewal for yourself and the church. Check out all the details below:

LISD Prayer Walk – Sunday August 22 at 12 p.m. in the Ministry Center. Sign up for your chosen school in the Connection Center. Lunch will be served and you will be sent out just as the disciples were.

Daily Prayer Calendar to help you focus your prayers for that day

Daily Devotionals about prayer by famous preachers and teachers. The calendar will be available at www.tmumc.org or around the church and OPT IN FOR TRIETSCH NEWS on the left side of the web page and you will receive the calendar and the daily devotional on your email daily.

Read the Bible in 40 Days — We will read through the Bible – out loud – in the Sanctuary. Just think every word of God spoken in the place we worship – From Genesis to Revelation. Sign-up on the poles as you exit the Sanctuary or contact Jan Deering at jan.deering@verizon.net.

Prayer Requests can be put into the White Chapels outside the sanctuary on the stairwell counters. Prayers will picked up during the week and prayer committee will pray over the requests. You may also email Peggy Zappavigna at peggyz@tmumc.org.

Prayer Vigil –Wednesday, September 15, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. To choose your time to pray in 30 minute increments either at the church in the Sanctuary, Prayer Chapel or in the comfort of your home or work, contact Jan Deering at jan.deering@verizon.net.

Congregation Prayers - Praying thru the individual names of our congregation weekly. You sign up and you will be given a list of 20-50 names to pray for – dividing them up for your prayers throughout the week. We encourage everyone to pray during services for the people in your section.

Prayer Chapel — the Faith Voyage children’s chapel is set up and available for prayer throughout the 40 Days of Prayer. You will have an opportunity to write your prayers on the wall, kneel before the cross, and lay your praises and burdens before the cross. Check out this video on the Prayer Chapel. If you cannot view the video below, please visit www.vimeo.com/14860903.

Resource Table — there will be a book table of prayer resources on Sunday mornings in the Connection Center, right outside the Sanctuary.

Stephen Ministers will be available after services where anyone can speak to a Stephen Minister and ask for prayer coverage and help through the tough days of our time. Contact Joe Shafer at joes@tmumc.org if you would like to speak with a Stephen Minister at any time.

Prayer Studies — Check out the Fall Studies focused on Prayer. Click on the link above to learn more about each study or click on the title to register.

Sign up in the Connection Center on Sundays for any of the above activities. Contact Jan Deering at jan.deering@verizon.net or Rev. Diane Presley at dianep@tmumc.org for further information.
