Few, if any, of us get through life's challenges without help from others. From time to time we all need a little help and support, whether it's a meal, special prayer, visit or transportation. Based upon Jesus' call to love one another, the Pastoral Care of Trietsch seeks to provide support to members in time of need.
If you would like to schedule an appointment with a pastor, hospital visits or need any other kind of help, call 972-539-8547 or email Rev. Doug Meyer at email@example.com.
After hours, please call 972-539-8547 ext. 398, and follow the prompts for pastoral care, 24-hours a day.
Support groups are small groups of people interested in the support of others who are facing similar challenges. The groups are structured around the topic, led by trained facilitators and are a great resource for building relationships while growing through life's challenges. Support groups include, but are not limited to, grief, addiction and illness.
To get connected to a support group, email Rev. Doug Meyer, Associate Pastor of Caring Ministries.
We offer one-on-one counseling with a pastor of Trietsch for an open heart to listen and spiritual guidance. If you are looking for a recommendation, we are happy to connect you with professional counselors based on your need. Please email Rev. Doug Meyer at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about counseling.

If you are dealing with a life struggle that you can't overcome on your own like depression, addiction, mental illness, divorce, or loss, we're here to help. Please reach out to Rev. Doug Meyer, Associate Pastor of Caring Ministries, at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up a time to pray, talk, or just sit together.
We all have something we can't overcome alone. Let's face it together.

The Grief Seminar, Coping with Loss, provides participants with opportunities to understand the emotional and physical dynamics of grief. Led by trained grief facilitators, you'll learn about the grief process, share with others, give and receive support and develop healthy coping skills and activities. We will help you decrease a sense of isolation and increase a sense of normalcy through contact with others in similar situations and share personal experiences within a safe, caring and understanding environment. This seminar is 5 weeks in duration and is free of cost.

Becoming One Again
Coming in 2019
This is an 8-week program that provides intentional steps toward healing and wholeness during and following divorce. The process is full of emotion and can result in disorientation. God heals, even the pain of this hard time. We plan on offering this course twice a year.
Becoming One Again will help you:
- Sort feelings
- Process your thoughts
- Feel supported as you find hope and healing
- Develop healthy steps toward rediscovering your life and becoming whole again.
Becoming One Again is open to individuals at any stage of the separation/divorce process. Also those divorced for up to three years.
To learn more, contact Rev. Doug Meyer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are a community of people willing to admit struggles with substance abuse, pornography, food addictions, gambling, sex addiction, or anything else that consumes us inside and out. Let's create a culture in the church that acknowledges addiction as a challenge that touches us all. Our addiction recovery events and groups are a safe space for those personally facing addiction and family members affected by addiction. This is a judgement-free zone where all are welcomed and loved as they are. All races, education levels, sexual orientations, gender identities, beliefs, political affiliation are welcome to join as exactly as God made you.

Let's Talk: Community Conversations about Mental Health
We all know someone who is impacted by mental illness. Maybe you are that person. Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church is pleased to host a program called: Let's Talk. This is a series of educational topics about mental illness, how to recognize it, and what we can do to help. Through community conversations, we hope to provide a forum where local experts can lead discussions about the hard, everyday life issues we all face.
Upcoming Let's Talk forums will be announced soon.
Special Needs Ministry
Butterfly Ministry, our special needs ministry, exists to provide an inclusive environment for individuals with specific needs. We not only want to serve these individuals but also partner with their families as they participate in the life of the church.
We want to help any individual who faces unique challenges related to physical, mental, behavioral or emotional needs that would benefit from additional support.
Butterfly Class - Every Sunday - 9:30 am - Noon
The Butterfly class is designed for individuals who might better succeed in a more structured, sensory friendly setting. Individuals in the Butterfly class will enjoy age appropriate activities and lessons to grow disciples and build community.
Our desire is to create an atmosphere that includes, accepts, and supports all individuals and all abilities. Please help us create a positive experience for your child by reading our policies and completing the forms below.
