"If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves." Proverbs 29:18 (MSG)
We have begun to live well into the Mission, Vision and Values that God has laid on the hearts of our leaders here at Trietsch. It is an exciting time to move forward with clarity, purpose and direction. I give thanks for the way God is leading us and the way we will follow closely. With God at our helm and the power of the Holy Spirit to guide us, we will not stumble or falter. This is good news!
Our MISSION (purpose or “who we are”) is Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This purpose calls us into a personal relationship with Christ and with others, and it challenges us to lead others into the same. It also beckons us to never remain the same, but to grow in our relationship with Christ all of our days.
Our VISION (strategy or “how we are”) is to Create settings where all are encouraged and equipped to discover intimacy with God, grow in relationship together, serve others and transform the culture. This strategy (vision) calls us to achieve the mission by forming environments (worship, youth, children, men, women, mission, etc.) where people are uplifted and prepared to encounter at least one of the four components listed. We want people to discover an intimate relationship with God, grow in community, serve the world like Jesus. And by doing all of these things, influence the world in which we live! This specific strategy (vision) will help us remain clear and focused on what God is calling us to.
We have also streamlined our values—narrowing them to three broad yet specific claims. Our values will not only be what we hold dear and hold up as important, but they will also be the boundaries within which we want to accomplish the mission and vision. So we VALUE: Biblical Relevancy, Radical Love, & Servant Ministry. We want to make God’s Word true for today, live Christ’s command, and become the form of faithfulness in our daily living.
These are exciting days for Trietsch! God is leading us into greater community, clarity and calling. I know you’ll join me in celebrating that journey of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ!
