Faith. We either rely on it or we long for it in our lives. Faith is "the assurance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1).
During Advent I invite you to experience the season with a childlike heart. Sunday we are showing The Polar Express at 4 pm in the FLC. Families will create keepsakes and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while watching this Christmas classic in their pajamas.
It's a movie I came to love when my son was a small boy obsessed with trains. It tells the story of a boy longing for something more. When a train arrives at his door on Christmas Eve he finds the courage to believe. Matthew tells us in chapter 18 to "become like children to enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
I hope you will join us for this fun family event. Bring the kids, the grandkids, and their friends. This holiday season, I invite you to BELIEVE.
