Jay Frappier attended the Habitat for Humanity kick-off and could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. Read his reaction:
Trietsch hosted the kick-off meeting for the Habitat for Humanity Interfaith build on Thursday Feb. 1 2018 in our Family Life Center.
The Interfaith build is a group of several different faiths coming together to share our commonalities and to focus on them rather than the differences between our faiths. The group consists of Christians, Muslims, Jews and the Baha’i faith groups. Also speaking and in attendance were the folks from Habitat Denton County. The attendees were members of churches, mosques, and synagogues associated with each of the faiths.
The attendance was amazing as approximately 175 people were present to share the thing that binds us all together, LOVE with a capital "L." Love of God, Love for each other, and Love for the community. Each faith group had a speaker who talked about their faith and their interest in serving Gods community with Love through the building of a home for a very beautiful family that has a great need. The room had a very tangible feel of the spirit of God working across the different faiths in order to serve our community. I was very proud of Trietsch for participating in and hosting an amazing event for such a wonderful cause, that being extending the Kingdom of God in our community.
There are many opportunities for you to participate in this Habitat build. If you'd like to volunteer please sign up and learn more at TMUMC.ORG/habitat.
