Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church is pleased to host a new program called: Let's Talk. Through these conversations we hope to provide a forum where local experts can lead discussions about the hard, everyday life issues we all face.
Our upcoming gathering will be a conversation about mental illness
Tuesday, November 7 at 7 pm in our Ministry Center.
Trying to tell the difference between what expected behaviors are and what might be the signs of a mental illness isn't always easy. There's no easy test that can let someone know if there is mental illness or if actions and thoughts might be typical behaviors of a person or the result of a physical illness.
Mental health conditions can also begin to develop in young children. Because they're still learning how to identify and talk about thoughts and emotions, their most obvious symptoms are behavioral.
Join us for a presentation and conversation on early warning signs of potential mental illness in children, teens and adults and helpful ways family and friends can respond.
Our speakers will be Dr. Lou Costello and Meredith Hake, FPMHNP.
- Dr. Costello is a child, adolescent & adult psychiatrist practicing in the Lewisville area since 1996.
- Meredith Hake is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has over 10 years of experience working with children, adults and families including over 8 years at Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth..
We hope you'll join us for an informative presentation followed by a time of questions and answers. Childcare available with a 48 hour advance reservation. Please call 972-539-8547 ext. 299 or email at email@example.com.
