Being a Witness is Being a Friend

Denise Robinson learned through her 2-year-old granddaughter that being a witness doesn't have to be scary: My daughter Stephanie and 2-year-old granddaughter Sarah were at an Easter party at the Army post where Steph’s husband is currently stationed. The event was filled with fun events for children including a bounce house. Sarah LOVED the bounce house. She would jump for a little while, run to her mommy to check in and then go right back in the bounce house. On one occasion, she... Read More

And He Will Be My Savior

The hymn "First Song of Isaiah" has followed Amy Parsons throughout her life, renewing her relationship with God: In 1978, I got to sing it in children's choir with the adult choir singing, too! New phone. Who's this?

For Randee Paraskevopoulos , it was a technology glitch that made her realize she needs to work harder at relationships: I got a new phone back in November. It's the new Windows 10 phone. Great camera, simple interface and Cortana is great about reminding me of stuff. I love it. About the same time, I decided to clean up my contact lists on my computer, which then would sync with my new phone. I had duplicates in my personal account, my work account, an old account, my Facebook, etc. So... Read More

My Life is Full of Weeds!

Rev. Doug Meyer has learned a lot about his faith life by working in his yard. Check out a note from Doug: I find weed pulling very therapeutic.  It's as simple 1-2-3... I see a weed in my lawn or flower bed I bend over and pull it out or spray it with some horrible toxic chemical BOOM – no more weed!  Wouldn’t it be nice if pulling the weeds out of our lives were as simple?! In reality life-weed pulling is not as simple as that. First, you have to... Read More
