Sr. High Mission Trip
Re-Ignite Senior High youth and adults will be the hands and feet of Christ in Juarez, Mexico the week of March 15-21, 2008. The Trietsch team will build houses for families who currently have no residence whatsoever. Most families live in cardboard boxes. The Mexico Mission Trip Ministry Team will be joining forces with AMOR Ministries. The AMOR Mission trip is a short-term mission opportunity based on serving the local church in Mexico while creating cross-cultural understanding through direct exposure to the Mexican culture. AMOR Ministries doesn’t want a group to just build a house in a developing nation. They want a group to understand the conditions of poverty through immersion. Therefore, the Mexico Mission Trip Ministry team will bring our own camping gear and prepare our own meals. The houses we build are a simple design, built according to the standards of the community so that a group without skilled labor or power tools can still complete the project. We do not use power tools or generators on the worksite which fosters an environment of cooperation.
Jr. High Mission Trip
The Jr. High youth and adults will are teaming up with C2K and People Helping People to work on a home in South Dallas from March 16 - 19. They will be scraping and painting and making minor repairs. They will be the hands and feet of Christ---and have a lot of fun doing it!
