Jim Ozier's New Appointment
A letter was sent to homes on September 8 about Jim's announcement that he will be leaving Trietsch after 18 years for an exciting new opportunity with the North Texas Conference. Jim has been appointed as the New Church Development Officer for the conference effective November 1. CLICK HERE to view the press release from the North Texas Conference.
Jim's last sermon at Trietsch was Sunday, October 28. It was an emotional day. The farewell celebration followed in the tents on the parking lot for the final presentation in the sanctuary after lunch. Jim was presented with all the letters and cards from the congregation, the Baptism Quilters presented Jim with a quilt they made representing all the churches Jim has served with signatures of many members on the back, Senator Nelson presented Jim with a Senate Proclamation, and John Shiver, SPR Chair presented Jim a gift of a boat from the congregation to show their appreciation of his years of service at Trietsch.
